Research inetrests

Aleksandar Janev's research interest is focused on the cell-biological mechanisms of human amniotic membrane' (hAM) anticancer activity. As part of his PhD research, he has been involved in development of various hAM-derived preparations (homogenates, extracts, scaffolds) and investigating their effect on focal adhesions, migration, invasion, proliferation of normal and cancerous urothelial cells. Aleksandar is particularly interested in exploring different cellular signaling pathways involved in the anticancer mechanism of hAM.
