Nanodiamonds as Possible Tools for Improved Management of Bladder Cancer and Bacterial Cystitis

In a review article published in International Journal of Molecular Sciences, we offer an overview of nanodiamonds and their possible use in the treatment of urinary bladder cancer and bacterial cystitis. We focus on: (i) the synthesis, properties and functionalisation of nanodiamonds; (ii) recent advances in the study of various nanodiamonds used for better treatment of bladder cancer and (iii) bacterial cystitis; and (iv) the use of nanodiamonds in theranostics of these diseases.
