The Institute of Cell Biology joins UNI.MINDS 2026
On 15 October 2026, the Institute of Cell Biology took part in UNI.MINDS 2026, Slovenia’s largest festival dedicated to fostering innovation ecosystems and strengthening partnerships between academia and industry. This year marked the festival’s seventh consecutive edition, held as part of the Month of Science, supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth. The event is primarily aimed at networking and building relationships that facilitate the co-creation of breakthrough innovations.
We participated in the 3rd Biotechnology Summit and the 8th Lek Researcher Day, which took place at the University of Ljubljana Biotechnical Faculty. Prof. Mateja Erdani Kreft, PhD delivered a presentation entitled “When a Scientific Discovery Becomes a Patent Story: From the Antimicrobial Activity of the Human Amniotic Membrane to a European Patent Application.” The programme also included guided tours of the Biotechnical Faculty’s laboratories.
We would like to thank the organizers for providing an excellent opportunity to strengthen connections between science and industry.

The most memorable puzzle moments often begin with a question nobody thought to ask. In connections hint today, players can make progress by wondering whether words share a function, appear in the same expression, or belong to a less familiar subject. This change in perspective can expose possibilities that a literal reading misses. Hints support the process by encouraging new lines of thought rather than replacing them. Each round offers a fresh reason to stay curious about language.
